You walk though the Omotesando shopping street and then you can see this beautiful temple built in 1052.
Byodo-in has been called "the re-creation of Heaven" and the very finest elements of Imperial Culture were brought together to build the "Ho-o-do"(main hall). The spectacular architecture remains unchanged in the present and still awes the modern-day visitor.

Fushimi Inari Shrine
- Only 10 mins by JR -
During New Year, Japanese people go there to make a wish at shrine. Specially on 31st/Dec to 1st/Jan, you will have all night the trains to access to the JR Fushimi Inari station, Nara line.
To Fushimi Inari shrine, you need to get on a trian (150yen) at JR Uji station and get off at JR Fushimi Inari station(Nara Line) only 10 mins riding. You can arrive at Fushimi Inari shrine shopping street and then walk to the main shrine.

This oldest bridge in Japan has faclitated transport in and out of Uji since ancent times.
Uji bridge is belived to have been constructed in 646, making ut as one of the oldest brudges in Japan. The jetty on the upstream sude us cakked "San no Ma" which is said to be the remnants of a dedication to Princess Tsubaki-hime, the guardian angel o the bridge.
You can walk to this beautiful place by walk or bike.
It is really beautiful Sakura Blossom around the Uji River and even in the middle of the river there is a little island, park there.
Autom is also awsome with red leaves around the river.
3 long Shopping Streets

Really long street!! This shopping street extends to the southwest from Ujibashi bridge. Its concept is a "shopping street to creat happiness." Shops of various genres line the street and many events are also held.
A lot of green tea shops, cafes, food shops, hot spring place, cake shops, bread shops, gift shops and so much!!
Bursting with history, local specialty products and beautiful nature, Uji is one of the main tourist destinations in Japan. There are so many photo-perfect spots along the three shopping streets, the very core of Uji: Ujibashi, Byoudouin Omotesando and Uji Genji Town.
